Thanks to you, cupcake week ended “sweetly”! CancerCare for Kids will be receiving a sizable donation. We have donated $1.00 for every cupcake sold last week and we couldn’t have done it without your support…Thank You!

Cupcakes were the “name of the game”!  We are half way to our goal so far! Thank you so much for all of your support!

Cupcakes for a Cause…Day 3

Day 3 is looking good! The Elvis was the cupcake of the day and we sold 17 of those plus many others! Yummmmmmmy! Tomorrow, the cupcake of the day is The “Sin”ful. Named after a friend of mine who is a self proclaimed chocolate fanatic. Chocolate cupcake, creamy chocolate frosting and double chocolate chunks on top!

Day 2 went very well! Even better than expected! We beat our goal of 50 cupcakes and sold an amazing 59 jumbo cupcakes! Thank you to all those who sponsored our event!

Cupcakes for a Cause…Day 1

Who can resist a delicious cupcake topped with ooey, gooey frosting?? No one! Very few customers left today without a cupcake in hand! Thank you to all of those who supported “Cupcakes for a Cause”. Our goal today was 50 cupcakes!  Tomorrow’s cupcake of the day is Mint Cookies and Creammmmmm! Every day we will spotlight a unique and delicious variety. Loosen your belts for…Cupcakes for a Cause…September 21-27

CancerCare launched Cupcakes for a Cause in 2004 by enlisting a group of bakeries to sell specially decorated cupcakes to raise funds for the CancerCare for Kids program.

Since then, Cupcakes for a Cause has grown into a week-long event with bakeries around the country selling cupcakes and donating a portion of sales to the CancerCare for Kids program which provides free support services to children affected by cancer and their families.

This year, Caffe’ Portofino will be one of the participating contributors. For every cupcake purchased between September 21-27, 2009 we will donate $1.00 to the CancerCare for Kids program.  So loosen your belts and make room for lots of cupcakes! After all, you can’t feel guilty eating a cupcake when its for a good cause!
